HOW MANY PASSENGERS ARE ON A PRIVATE JET?

Whether it’s for business or pleasure, there are very few travel options that offer the comfort of a private jet. Charter flights deliver a level of convenience and privacy that going commercial cannot come close to achieving. There are often questions about how many people can come aboard on a private flight, and that really comes down to the size of the aircraft.

Of course, the majority of private jets aren’t going to be able to hold the amount of passengers as a commercial airliner, but that’s due to many of the amenities that come with flying in a private charter jet in Denver. Figuring out the right sized aircraft can help determine what you need to suit your needs.

WHAT’S THE LARGEST PRIVATE JET?

A larger jet generally means more passengers, and travel farther distances. Many full-sized private jets, like the Gulfstream G550, can comfortably seat 18 or 19 passengers, and can travel more than 6,700 nautical miles. Most are equipped with a large internal storage space to fit all of your luggage.

These larger aircraft also come fully equipped with a slate of fantastic amenities. Some of these planes include entertainment systems, cooking appliances, and flight attendant service to make sure everything is enjoyable on your flight. These are fantastic options for large groups that want to use the private flying experience while traveling to farther destinations.

DIFFERENCES IN MID-SIZED JETS

Mid-sized jets in a few different sizes – coming under the classifications of mid-sized and super mid-sized. Mid-sized jets generally seat 7 or 8 passengers, and typically can fly between four and five hours of flight time – or around 2,000 nautical miles. These are smaller than the super mid-sized, but still offer luxurious amenities along with the comfy experience.

The super mid-sized counterparts can seat up to 10 passengers, and offer more storage space. That can come in handy, since they can generally fly farther, as well. Super mid-sized have a range of more than 2,900 nautical miles, and many of these aircraft come with a full suite of amenities. The larger, super mid-sized option can include things such as Wi-Fi, a forward galley, and Apple TV displays.

LIGHT-SIZED JETS

If you’re traveling with a small group, light jets should be a strong consideration. The cabin size is smaller – Learjets are around 4’4” tall and 4’9” wide, but they can seat eight passengers. These jets don’t often have as much storage space, meaning the passengers will likely have to travel light. The light jets can still provide a fantastic, personal experience – particularly for those quick trips or for a special occasion with a smaller group.

Flying charter is a great choice for those looking for convenience and privacy. Depending on the size of the group and the reason for flying privately, there are a wide array of choices available.
